Dudley Council Set To Honour Manchester United Legend Duncan Edwards

manchester united united cristiano ronaldo A commuter route in the Black Country is set to be named after Manchester United legend Duncan Edwards.

Edwards died on 21st February 1958 just 15 days after the Munich Air Disaster, having battled against fatal head injuries. Seven of his team mates also perished in the infamous crash.

His home town of Dudley has a statue of Edwards, who was 21 when he died, but the council is considering renaming the southern bypass Duncan Edwards Way. Dudley mayor Ray Burston said Edwards had a lasting impact on the town. Councillors are set to give the road name plans the go-ahead at a meeting this week....Back To Home Page
