Manchester United Receive An Apology From The FA After Evidence From The Patrice Evra Hearing Is Leaked

Manchester United have received an apology from the FA, which is as rare as rocking horse shit, following the publication of evidence from Patrice Evra's controversial disciplinary hearing.

United were furious that full-back Evra was punished for clashing with Chelsea groundstaff at Stamford Bridge last season, and angry the details were released before they even decided whether to appeal.

The FA branded defender Gary Neville, who was at the flare-up, "abusive" in a damning report into the incident.

Sir Alex Ferguson's No.2, Mike Phelan, was called an "unreliable" witness by the FA, who levelled the same charge at Evra's "exaggerated" version of events, effectively branding United liars.

United, who won't appeal Evra's four-game ban, welcomed the apology and declared the matter "closed".

Fergie Banned For Two Games And Fined £10,000

Fergie: "Ah I just got a poxy 2-match touchline ban and fined £10 Grand. Nothing to worry about love, I'll be home about 8 have my dinner ready, catch ya later".

Micheal Carrick was clean through on goal with a real goalscoring opportunity when he was brought down by Micheal Turner who was already on a yellow card. It's an immediate red card, simple as that ! A yellow would have been an injustice but even that would have seen him walk as he was already on a yellow for an earlier offence. So what did Mike Dean do ? That's right......NOTHING ! He just let him get away with it. Some refs do make mistakes and apologise for it but this is a rarity.

If Fergie had simply shrugged his shoulders and said nothing what would the FA or the referees association of done about it ? That's right.......NOTHING ! The FA have this Respect Campaign running whereby everyone is urged to respect the officials and all that jibber-jabber. How can you respect these clowns when they are too afraid to do the right thing ? Fergies laughing his butt of anyway. His 2 games he is banned for are Blackburn in the Carling Cup, a game I doubt he is putting top of his list of priorities and Sunderland in the league which 'should' be a game he expects to win anyway. The Premier League Fixture List Is A Farce !

I would have thought the FA or whoever makes the fixture list would take into account the Champions League fixtures of the teams involved before they "throw together" their fixture list for the season. Last season was mystifying when they put Manchester United at home against Manchester City to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Munich. Common sense tells you that was not wise. As it happens it turned out OK but not by good judgement, it was more by luck.

So when the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool represent this country in the Champions League why oh why don't the FA help them out, encourage them and at least try and eleviate some of the travelling problems ? Take this season for example - All six of United’s six Champions League group matches have been or will be followed by tough away assignments – against Chelsea, Blackburn Rovers, Everton, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur – and Ferguson believes that the situation is unfair, even though he said that fatigue did not appear to be a contributing factor on Saturday.

“They say the league is not handicapped, but I’m not so sure,” Ferguson said. “Having every game away from home following a European tie is not easy. Going from Celtic on Wednesday to play at Arsenal the following Saturday lunchtime is hard, although, funnily enough, I didn’t think it was a problem on this occasion.”

Chelsea have four nice cushy home games after their Champions League games and Liverpool find themselves at home for five of their games - it's hard enough to win the Premier League and Champions League in one season, United being the only team to have done it in the Premiership, so why do the FA try to make it even harder ? .....Back To Home Page

No FA Action For Rooney

The Football Association will take no
action against Wayne Rooney for his
badge-kissing antics in Manchester
United's 1-1 draw against Everton at
Goodison Park on Saturday.

Rooney was booked for a foul on Mikel
Arteta and, with tempers starting to fray,
Sir Alex Ferguson removed the England
man from the field. He responded by kissing
his badge, a move which was regarded as
inflammatory toward his former club.

However, the FA have confirmed they will
not be investigating the matter further as
referee Alan Wiley saw the incident at the
time and had a quiet word with Rooney.

I can't even find the energy to write any-
thing else about this as it struck me as being
a bit unfair given that Joey Barton did exactly
the same thing on the same day, as do many

Wayne Rooney May Face FA Probe After Badge Kissing Incident

Wayne Rooney faces the threat of a Football Association charge for inciting fans of former club Everton by kissing his Manchester United badge during yesterday's stormy 1-1 draw at Goodison Park. Let's also remember shall we that when called off the bench at Sunderland to warm up, Joey Barton did EXACTLY the same thing to the Sunderland fans who were heckling him, he kissed his Newcastle United badge.

Let's hope the FA, who, let's face it, are a bunch of geriatric wannabes who have never actually achived anything in the game, let's hope they keep things fair and on a level playing field and charge both, or neither of them !!

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson admitted he had immediately substituted Rooney because he feared the England striker would be sent off, but that prompt action may not be enough to save the player from disciplinary action. After enduring an afternoon of abuse from the supporters who once idolised him, Rooney's suspect temperament erupted again in the 69th minute after he was booked by referee Alan Wiley for a foul on Mikel Arteta. When the Everton fans responded with their loudest barracking yet, Rooney responded by kissing the United badge on his shirt. Wiley immediately ran over to speak to Rooney, but Ferguson had seen enough and replaced him with Nani two minutes later. Ferguson said: 'I didn't know why he was booked and I had a fear about the way the referee was behaving. I just didn't think the referee was giving our players proper protection, I saw some bad tackles and it is the referee's job to protect players. The crowd were reacting and I thought he might get sent off, so I had to take him off.'

Everton boss David Moyes remained coy by saying: "I didn't see the incident and it's not my business." But the FA may well take a different attitude when they see footage of the game.....
