All We Are Saying Is Give Berba A Chance

Some Manchester United fans have been calling Dimitar Berbatov by a new name, "Dimitar Veron" in a rather pathetic reference to £28m misfit Juan Veron. These will be the same pathetic fans who will be there basking in any future glory and declaring Berba a hero when he comes good. They piss me off with their 10-game judgements of a guy who is playing in a new team, in his first season. These so called fans are probably the same sad assholes who booed Capello's first game after a whole 28 minutes !!!

Paddy Crerand has been defending Berba while talking on MUTV: "That's totally unfair, he has not scored many but he's created plenty and that's just as valuable. I have heard the grumbles from the fans but it's too early for that. I think he's a wonderful player. Some players can do with one pass what others can't do with 90 minutes of running around dementedly. People have judged Berbatov against the industry of people like Tevez and that's unfair. They are different players. But Berbatov will come good. Just wait and see."

I couldn't have put it better myself. Give him a chance, even if it takes a whole season, trust me, he will be a legend like Eric Cantona. Us Eastern Europeans have to stick together so I am the biggest Berbatov fan in the whole world right now and I'll stick up for him no matter what !!!!!!

Berbatov Up And Running At Old Trafford As United Thump WBA

Dimitar Berbatov was almost as delighted as me when he scored his first goal for Manchester United at Old Trafford in yesterday's 4-0 thumping of West Brom.

He told MUTV: "It was a nice goal and I was really delighted to score in front of the home crowd. Hopefully there will be more to come."

United's second-half surge from 0-0 to 3-0 and eventually 4-0 was in complete contrast to a frustrating first half when Wayne Rooney had an effort disallowed and West Brom were defiant.

"There are often games like that," said Berbatov "In the first half you try hard to score but it doesn’t work. Then at alf-time, you have some good words from the manager - he tells you what to do exactly and what the weak points of the opposition are. Rio On MUTV Being Asked Questions About Manchester United, Life, etc etc

Rio Ferdinand appeared on MUTV this week, chatting and answering questions from children and from viewers on the phone.

It was quite interesting really to hear his views but they limited it to 5 or 6 questions that's all, which was a bit annoying to say the least.

Here is what they showed but I'm sure there was more.

If you weren’t a footballer, what job would you be doing now? (Stephen, Sale)
I’d probably be working in the communities in Peckham, where I grew up. I’d be helping out in youth centres or football coaching for kids.

What do you say to your team-mates when they score? (Lee, Gateshead)
I can’t really say because there are normally swear words involved! Usually it’s along the lines of ‘well done’.

What’s it like to walk out at a packed Old Trafford before a big match? (Mark)
When you walk out and the crowd’s going crazy, it’s an amazing feeling - the best.

Did you ever imagine captaining United in a Champions League final?

Never. I thought we’d have a chance of making the final but to lead the side out was like a dream. And to go on and win it and get our hands on the trophy was brilliant.

Which team-mates have you played against at international level?

I’ve played against Giggsy, Ronaldo and Nani. Ronny’s quite competitive and Portugal have been lucky to beat us on penalties twice. He’s always got that to throw at us when there are arguments about England and penalties. Next I’d like to play against Sheasy or Fletch.
